Sentimental Value

“An intimate and moving exploration of family, memories, and the healing power of art.”

A funeral brings Nora (Renate Reinsve), a stage actress, and her sister Agnes (Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas) back to the father who left them, Gustav (Stellan Skarsgård), once a celebrated director. He has a script and wants Nora in it, and when she says no, the part goes to Rachel (Elle Fanning), a young American star. Joachim Trier sets the family against a comeback Gustav cannot afford to lose.
