Separation

“It won't let go.”

Jeff (Rupert Friend), an artist, is left to raise his young daughter Jenny (Violet McGraw) alone after his wife Maggie (Mamie Gummer), who had filed for divorce, dies suddenly in an accident. Jenny turns to her father for comfort, and to the ghost of the mother she has lost. William Brent Bell keeps the two of them in the house, where Jeff paints and Jenny talks quietly to someone he cannot see.
