Baghdad, 2003, is in chaos weeks after the US invasion when Sérgio Vieira de Mello (Wagner Moura), a Brazilian diplomat at the United Nations, is sent in on the hardest mission of his career. Greg Barker follows him through meetings with the American administrator Paul Bremer (Bradley Whitford) and through his relationship with Carolina Larriera (Ana de Armas). Moura plays him in a rumpled suit, a man in a crowded room who looks tired.
