In a 2024 France, Albert (Damien Bonnard) has lost his daughter to a killing no one has explained, and he wants the people responsible. Sayoko (Ko Shibasaki), a woman who gives almost nothing away about herself, helps him take members of an organization and question them by force. Kiyoshi Kurosawa keeps the story close to Albert, a grieving father caught in the revenge he has set in motion.
