Serpico
“Many of his fellow officers considered him the most dangerous man alive - an honest cop.”
In New York in the early 1970s, Frank Serpico (Al Pacino) joins the police department and learns that taking envelopes of cash is simply how the job gets done. Sidney Lumet follows him through eleven years of precinct rooms, with Serpico refusing the money and reporting what he sees. His hair and beard grow wilder, and the men in uniform around him stop meeting his eye.
