Jimmie Shannon (Buster Keaton) is a struggling stockbroker who needs seven million dollars, and he learns he can have it if he marries by 7 p.m. today, his 27th birthday. His partner Billy Meekin (T. Roy Barnes) and a lawyer (Snitz Edwards) help him hunt for a bride, while Mary Jones (Ruth Dwyer) is the girl he actually wants. Keaton, directing himself in 1925, builds a silent comedy about how little time a person has to say what he feels.
