Two chimney sweeps in Oslo, both married, both sure of who they are, are knocked off balance by things they did not plan. The Chimney Sweeper (Jan Gunnar Røise) has an encounter with another man that he treats as neither infidelity nor a sign of being gay, while Head of Department (Thorbjørn Harr) starts dreaming he is seen as a woman. Haugerud's film leaves two sweeps in their soot-dark work clothes, back at the job.
