How does a boy left with a withered leg by childhood polio end up fronting one of the loudest bands in 1970s Britain? Ian Dury (Andy Serkis) does it with his disability on show, in the company of the pianist Chaz Jankel (Tom Hughes) and a lifestyle that strains every relationship he has, including the one with his young son Baxter (Bill Milner). Mat Whitecross shoots the story in a rough, grainy style that puts you inside Dury's world.
