“Feeling Protected Is Very Seductive”
In the world of professional killers, Mikey (Cuba Gooding Jr.) and Rose (Helen Mirren) work as a pair and live as lovers, and Rose once knew Mikey's father. A hit for a gangster puts a pregnant woman in front of Rose, and she does not pull the trigger. Lee Daniels keeps the two of them in close, quiet rooms, Rose sick in bed, Mikey beside her.
