Shaft

“Still the man, any questions?”

A racially motivated killing, a missing eyewitness, and a rich suspect who flies to Switzerland before he can be tried. New York detective John Shaft (Samuel L. Jackson) arrested Walter Wade, Jr. (Christian Bale) for the crime, and he is still waiting on the trial two years later. John Singleton keeps Jackson in long leather and the city moving at a run, and the film sets him loose.
