Shag

(1989)Directed by Zelda Barron98 min · PGComedy, Drama, Romance
“On a summer weekend in 1963, four girlfriends made memories that would last a lifetime.”

Why does Carson McBride (Phoebe Cates) need one last irresponsible weekend before her wedding? Her friends Melaina (Bridget Fonda), Pudge (Annabeth Gish) and Luanne (Page Hannah) don't ask, and in the summer of 1963 they take her to Myrtle Beach. Zelda Barron sends the four of them toward the shag dancing, Chip (Scott Coffey) somewhere among the dancers, the weekend counting down.
