Shallow Hal

“Only a man this shallow could fall in love this deep.”

Hal Larson (Jack Black) has only ever dated women he considers physically perfect, a habit he took from his dying father's advice. Then a stuck elevator puts him next to the self-help guru Tony Robbins, who hypnotizes him to see people's inner beauty. The Farrelly brothers send him into a romance with Rosemary Shanahan (Gwyneth Paltrow), and the film keeps asking how much of a person is what you see.
