Shane

“The greatest story of the West ever filmed!”

A stranger rides into the Wyoming Territory in 1889, and nobody in the valley can say where he came from or what he did before. Shane (Alan Ladd) takes work on the homestead of Joe Starrett (Van Heflin), where the boy Joey (Brandon De Wilde) can't stop watching him. George Stevens keeps a gun on Shane's hip that he won't touch, set against the open Wyoming fields.
