Shaolin Wooden Men
“Revenge is his destiny.”
In 1976 Hong Kong, an orphan called Little Mute (Jackie Chan) lives at the Shaolin monastery, silent since his father was killed by a vicious fighting master. A prisoner (Chin Kang) teaches him a secret form of deadly kung fu, and the older masters pass down the Gliding Snake and Drunken Master styles. Chen Chi-Hwa builds the film toward a run through the 108 wooden men, staged as a test of skill and endurance.
