Sharing the Secret

Beth Moss (Alison Lohman) is a teenager who believes she owes everyone a cheerful face, her parents and her friends most of all. Her mother, Dr. Nina Moss (Mare Winningham), is a doctor, and still Beth binges and purges alone and tells no one. Katt Shea's film is about how much a family can fail to notice, and how loud a secret gets when it is kept so politely.
