Sharpe's Regiment

Major Richard Sharpe (Sean Bean) is a rifleman who rose through the ranks, and in June 1813 he is fighting to keep his depleted South Essex regiment from being broken up and scattered through the army. The threat comes from the bureaucrats of Whitehall, so he returns to England, where Sergeant Major Patrick Harper (Daragh O'Malley) is not there to back him. Tom Clegg directs it as a procedural, following Sharpe from one document and drawing room to the next.
