Sharpe's Sword

On the Franco-Spanish border in 1813, Major Richard Sharpe (Sean Bean) is ordered to protect El Mirador, a master spy the French want dead. Tom Clegg's film leaves Sharpe at the end of a lost fight, his sword broken, his body nursed back by a girl (Emily Mortimer) who has not spoken since the slaughter of her companions. Sergeant Patrick Harper (Daragh O'Malley) forges him a new blade, and the two men head back into the war.
