Shattered Glass
“He'd do anything to get a great story.”
Stephen Glass (Hayden Christensen) wants to be liked, and in the mid-90s he is, a young staff writer at The New Republic whose features are the ones other reporters in Washington talk about. Billy Ray, in his first film as director, sets it in the cramped office of the magazine, where Glass hands out compliments and candy to colleagues. Charles Lane (Peter Sarsgaard) is his editor, and the film is about what Glass will say to keep that approval.
