(1924)Directed by Buster Keaton45 minAction, Comedy, Mystery
“Every inch of footage holds such a laugh!”

A movie theater projectionist (Buster Keaton) sweeps floors by day and studies detective manuals on the side, hoping to crack a real case. When the Local Sheik (Ward Crane) pockets the watch of the Girl's father (Joe Keaton) and pins the theft on him, he has to prove himself fast. Keaton directs, and the projectionist and the Girl (Kathryn McGuire) are wary of each other, each wanting the other to believe in them.
