Shinjuku Incident

“They destroyed his life... Now he'll destroy them all.”

Steelhead (Jackie Chan) slips into Japan as an illegal immigrant, a laborer from China searching Tokyo for Xiu Xiu (Xu Jinglei), the fiancée he lost years ago. Instead of finding her, he is pulled into Shinjuku's violent underworld, where the gangs run the streets and a man without papers has nowhere to turn. Derek Yee treats the crime story as a story about migrants, people who cross a border for a better life and find only the work no one else will do.
