Ship of Fools

Mary Treadwell (Vivien Leigh) is a divorcee who wants one more season of being looked at, and she boards an ocean liner leaving Mexico in 1933 hoping to find it. Stanley Kramer fills the ship with Rieber (José Ferrer), La Condesa (Simone Signoret), Tenny (Lee Marvin) and Dr. Schumann (Oskar Werner), strangers sharing meals and a deck. Every one of them is sailing toward Germany, and the voyage is the last stretch of time they have before they get there.
