Shirley

Shirley Jackson (Elisabeth Moss), the horror writer, is stuck on her next book and wants a story she can get her teeth into. She finds one when a young couple, Rose (Odessa Young) and Fred (Logan Lerman), move into the house she shares with her husband Stanley (Michael Stuhlbarg). Josephine Decker lets the four of them circle each other through long afternoons and drinks, and the film keeps asking where a writer's material ends and the people around her begin.
