“Being Terrified is Just the Beginning!”

A mystery spreads through the Starliner Towers, a suburban high-rise outside Montreal, where the residents are starting to behave in ways nobody can explain. Dr. Roger St. Luc (Paul Hampton) traces the cause with Nurse Forsythe (Lynn Lowry) as the tenants change. David Cronenberg makes their unease the film's engine, and Roger and Forsythe are left depending on one another while the building empties of anyone they trust.
