Dr. Richard Cross (Vincent Price) kills his wife, certain nobody saw it, until he learns that a neighbor, Janet Stewart (Anabel Shaw), watched the whole thing. When she tries to tell her husband, Cross turns up with a smooth offer to treat her, a psychiatrist sitting calmly in the room. Alfred L. Werker closes in on Price's still face, the doctor's quiet voice, and Janet with no one willing to believe her.
