Shoes

Eva Meyer (Mary MacLaren) works long days at a five-and-dime to support her family, and her only pair of shoes has worn through. Lois Weber stays close on Eva's face and her feet as she stands at the counter, waiting on a pay packet that never stretches far enough. In the same cramped rooms, her Father (Harry Griffith) and Mother (Mattie Witting) lean on her wages, and her sister Lil (Jessie Arnold) grows restless.
