Short Term 12

“Support them. Take care of them. But don't become their friend.”

Short Term 12 is a group home for at-risk teenagers, a foster care facility where the staff work shifts and the kids have nowhere else to be. Grace Howard (Brie Larson) supervises there, and Destin Daniel Cretton follows her through days that run on patience and the next kid's crisis. When Jayden Cole (Kaitlyn Dever) arrives, Grace's own past starts to press through the calm she wears on the job.
