Show Me Love

“I'd rather be happy now than in 25 years.”

Elin (Alexandra Dahlström) is beautiful and popular, and she is so bored with her small-town Swedish life that she can barely sit through her own birthday party. Agnes (Rebecka Liljeberg) has no friends at school and a crush on Elin she tells no one. Lukas Moodysson, in his first feature, makes it plain that wanting someone and being allowed to say so are different things.
