“Lights. Camera. Aggravation.”

Mitch Preston (Robert De Niro) is a Los Angeles detective who likes working alone, and he likes it quiet. Then a producer (Rene Russo) puts him in front of cameras beside Trey Sellars (Eddie Murphy), a patrol officer who cares more about acting than policing. Tom Dey sets the two against each other for a reality show, and Mitch has to share his badge, his car and his bad mood.
