“What happens after happily ever after?”

Shrek (Mike Myers) and Princess Fiona (Cameron Diaz) come back from their honeymoon to a summons from her parents, and the ogre who has settled into married life has to meet the in-laws. Donkey (Eddie Murphy) tags along, and the trip puts them in the path of a Fairy Godmother and Puss in Boots (Antonio Banderas), who has a reputation for killing ogres. Directors Kelly Asbury and Conrad Vernon keep the film loud and quick on its feet.
