Shrek and Fiona return from their honeymoon to meet her parents at the royal castle, only to discover they have no idea their daughter married an ogre. Desperate to win them over, Shrek agrees to a potion that transforms him into a handsome human, while Donkey tags along for the chaos. Adamson and Asbury pack the film with slapstick gags and musical numbers, building each scene to a crescendo of color and noise.
