“In the mid-1980s, a Siberian gang leader is exiled to a small town on the Ukrainian border where he teaches his grandson the “honest criminal” code.”

Kolyma (Arnas Fedaravičius) is a boy raised among banished criminals in a forgotten corner of the former Soviet Union, where the community turns its back on the outside world and answers only to its own code. His grandfather Kuzya (John Malkovich) teaches the children what an honest criminal owes the brotherhood. Gabriele Salvatores follows Kolyma and his best friend Gagarin (Vilius Tumalavicius) as that code starts to put the two boys on opposite sides.
