Sidekicks

“A dreamer and a champion. An unbeatable team.”

Barry Gabrewski (Jonathan Brandis) is an asthmatic teenager who gets bullied at school and slips away into daydreams where he fights beside his hero, Chuck Norris. Aaron Norris stages those fantasies as full action scenes, and the real world around Barry gets noticeably less exciting. When Mr. Lee (Mako), an old martial arts teacher, points him toward a karate tournament, the story becomes about a kid learning to stand up for himself.
