Silenced

“The hideous truth, concealed far too long.”

Kang In-ho (Gong Yoo) takes a teaching post at Benevolence Academy, a school for deaf children, and finds a place where the students flinch from the adults who run it. Hwang Dong-hyuk adapts the novel The Crucible, itself drawn from real assaults that went on for five years at Gwangju Inhwa School. Alongside the activist Seo Yoo-jin (Jung Yu-mi), In-ho takes the children's side and gives up the quiet life he came for.
