Silent Movie

(1976)Directed by Mel Brooks87 min · PGComedy
“Made In Hollywood. U.S.A.”

Mel Funn (Mel Brooks) is a washed-up director who walks into a failing Hollywood studio with a pitch for the first silent movie in decades. His partners, Marty Eggs (Marty Feldman) and Dom Bell (Dom DeLuise), help him chase down famous names to sign on, while the studio's creditors try to stop them. Brooks, working in 1976, builds the whole film on one belief, that a pratfall or a raised eyebrow needs no translation.
