Silkwood
“On November 13, 1974, Karen Silkwood, an employee of a nuclear facility, left to meet with a reporter from the New York Times. She never got there.”
In the Oklahoma town where she lives, Karen Silkwood (Meryl Streep) works at the plant that makes plutonium, and she cannot get anyone to say why she was exposed to a lethal dose of radiation. Mike Nichols follows her through the blank answers of the company, as she lives with housemates Drew (Kurt Russell) and Dolly (Cher). The sicker she gets, the louder she protests, and the people who run the plant start to see her as a danger.
