Silmido

“A Forbidden History Now Breaks It Deep Silence.”

Kang In-chan (Sul Kyung-gu) is a condemned criminal who is offered a way out: train for a suicide mission and wipe the slate clean. After North Korean commandos try to kill the president in 1968, the South Korean military gathers thirty-one men like him on the island of Silmido. Kang Woo-suk follows them through the drills under Sergeant Jo (Huh Joon-ho), and the state that uses these men has no plan to keep its promise to them.
