“Watch for the signs.”

Pat Solatano Jr. (Bradley Cooper) comes home to his parents' house in Philadelphia after months in an institution, having lost his job and his wife. He plans to win her back, while his father (Robert De Niro) just wants him on the couch for Eagles games. Then Tiffany Maxwell (Jennifer Lawrence) offers to carry his letters to his wife, if Pat does one important thing for her first, and David O. Russell puts the whole family in that cramped house.
