Silver Skates

“A Magical Journey Awaits You!”

St. Petersburg, Christmas of 1899, and the rivers and canals are frozen solid enough to hold a city's worth of festivities. Matvey (Fedor Fedotov) is a lamplighter's son whose one real possession is a pair of silver-plated skates. A chance meeting puts him in the path of Alisa (Sonia Priss), a high-ranking official's daughter. Michael Lockshin sets them moving together, each carrying a hard history and a wish that reaches past the life they were born into.
