Simon & the Oaks

“Every family has a secret.”

Simon Larsson (Bill Skarsgård) grows up in 1940s Gothenburg, the quiet son of Karin (Helen Sjöholm) and Erik (Stefan Gödicke), until he learns he was adopted and that his birth father was a Jewish man from Germany. Lisa Ohlin follows the friendship between his family and that of Ruben Lentov (Jan Josef Liefers) through the war years and after. Simon sets out to find where he comes from, a boy carrying a question nobody around him will fully answer.
