Sing Sing

“Trust the process.”

John "Divine G" Whitfield (Colman Domingo) is serving time at Sing Sing for a crime he didn't commit, and he spends his days writing and acting in the prison's theatre group. Greg Kwedar built the film around the real Rehabilitation Through the Arts program, casting many men who went through it themselves, Clarence "Divine Eye" Maclin among them. Divine G stands in a circle of incarcerated men, scripts in their hands, rehearsing in a maximum security prison.
