Sir Arne's Treasure

Three Scottish mercenaries kill Herr Arne (Hjalmar Selander) and his household for a coffin full of gold, and only Elsalill (Mary Johnson) survives. She goes to relatives in Marstrand, where a charming young officer, Sir Archi (Richard Lund), starts to court her. Mauritz Stiller sets the story on the 16th-century Swedish west coast, and Archi's smile gives nothing away.
