Sister Midnight

In Mumbai, a young bride named Uma (Radhika Apte) moves into a cramped slum house with Gopal (Ashok Pathak), the husband her family arranged for her. He is timid and idle, and the two have nothing to say to each other. Karan Kandhari builds the marriage out of small, bitter silences, and the story keeps asking how long a person can live inside a life she never chose.
