Sister, Sister

“Love Kills”

Matt Rutledge (Eric Stoltz) turns up at a Louisiana mansion that Charlotte (Judith Ivey) and Lucy Bonnard (Jennifer Jason Leigh) have made into a boarding house, and the sisters take him in. Bill Condon, in his directorial debut, keeps the house gloomy and the bayou close around it. Charlotte and Lucy have lived there together a long time, and the guest in their rooms starts to open up their pasts.
