Sivas
Aslan (Doğan İzci) is eleven, small for his age, and wants to be taken seriously by the older boys of his bleak village in Eastern Turkey. Then he finds Sivas, a fighting dog left wounded in a ditch to die, and the two form a bond neither was expecting. Kaan Müjdeci keeps the camera low and close on the boy's face, and the film won the Special Jury Prize at Venice.
