(1931)Directed by Norman Taurog85 minDrama, Family, Comedy
“"Love's so beautiful I feel like giving somebody a sock on the jaw."”

All Skippy Skinner (Jackie Cooper) wants is to be left alone with his friends and a few schemes, which is hard for the son of a wealthy doctor with a father, Herbert (Willard Robertson), who expects better. He crosses into Shantytown, meets a poor boy named Sooky (Robert Coogan), and takes up his cause. Norman Taurog's film puts the boys' only pet in the dogcatcher's path, and the two of them have only so long to save it.
