“It's not about dancing!”

C.C. Drood (Tom Hulce) draws underground comics for a living and has no reason to expect trouble until a blonde woman turns up dead and the police decide he's the one who killed her. To clear himself he has to dig through blackmail and corruption. Through all of it he keeps coming back to his estranged wife, Helen (Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio), the one person he can't quite let go of and can't quite trust.
