“God bless America... they're going to need it.”

Stevo (Matthew Lillard) and his best friend Bob (Michael A. Goorjian) have swapped being geeks for mohawks and safety pins in mid-1980s Salt Lake City. Between the parties and the concerts, a college degree and a father (Christopher McDonald) with plans for him sit waiting. James Merendino shoots it as Stevo's own narration, a loud, cluttered account of how he wants the scene to look.
