“Woody Allen takes a nostalgic look at the future.”

In 2173, a police state run by an ineptly led government thaws out Miles Monroe (Woody Allen), a clarinet-playing health food store owner frozen in 1973. The rebels want his help, and he wanders their world beside Luna Schlosser (Diane Keaton), with Allen borrowing his pratfalls from Buster Keaton, Harold Lloyd and Charlie Chaplin. Underneath the chases, it's about an ordinary man dropped into a future that runs on the same silly impulses as his own.
