Sleepers

“Four friends have made a mistake that will change their lives forever.”

Years after a youth prison in New York took their boyhoods, two men track down Nokes (Kevin Bacon), the state guard who abused them there. Their act of revenge lands in a courtroom, where Danny Snyder (Dustin Hoffman) takes the case and Father Bobby (Robert De Niro) is pulled into it. Barry Levinson builds the hearing from procedure, document by document, the questions put to Nokes in a flat, steady voice.
