Sleeping Beauty

(1959)Directed by Clyde Geronimi75 min · GFantasy, Animation, Romance, Family
“Awaken to a World of Wonders!”

Maleficent (Eleanor Audley) storms the christening of a newborn princess and curses her to die before her sixteenth birthday. Three good fairies take the child into hiding, raising Aurora (Mary Costa) in a woodland cottage far from the castle. Clyde Geronimi's production fills the frame with spinning wheels and spires, and Maleficent's green fire rises against the dark.
