Sleeping with the Enemy

“She is a stranger in a small town. She changed her name. Her looks. Her life. All to escape the most dangerous man she's ever met. Her husband.”

Laura Burney (Julia Roberts) lives on Cape Cod in a marriage ruled by Martin (Patrick Bergin), a husband who controls how she lives and punishes her for any slip. She fakes her own death and moves to Cedar Falls, Iowa, taking the name Sara Walters. Joseph Ruben follows her there, where a quiet new life has begun and one man is not yet convinced she is gone.
